3 Day Etosha Tour

Highlights: Etosha National Park

Day 1 - Etosha National Park

You'll be picked up by our guide at 8h30 and depart from Windhoek heading towards Etosha National Park. Your lodges are located inside the National Park.

Camp site Ethosa National Park At one time the largest game reserve in the world, the park was reduced to its present size of 22 270 square kilometres – it still classifies as one of the largest reserve in Africa. In the centre of the park, covering an estimated 5000 square kilometres is the pan which gives the Park its unique character. The pan is a vast shallow depression where heat hazes tease the eye and spiralling dust devils race across the brilliant white surface. A series of waterholes along the edge of the pan guarantees rewarding game viewing. Etosha cannot support the huge herds found in African countries but offers a diversity that few parks can match.

Day 2 - Etosha National Park - Breakfast

Today we will undertake game viewing across the National Park with our Vulkan Ruine, vehicle and guide en route. Your Lodge are located halfway between Okaukuejo and Namutoni; Halali is situated at the base of a dolomite hill, amongst shady Mopani trees. A flood-lit waterhole which is viewed from an elevated vantage point provides exceptional wildlife viewing throughout the day and into the night.

The Etosha National Park is one of Africa’s great game Parks. Centred around the vast expanse of Etosha Pan, the park is a sanctuary to the largest population on the western sub-species of the black and white Rhino, large herds of elephant, the striking black-faced Impala, lions and a profusion of other animals and birds. The game and birds found here are typical of the savannah plains of Southern Africa, but includes several species endemic to the western side of the continent, adjacent to the Namib Desert. Among the rare species, black rhino and white rhino (recently introduced) are sometimes seen. Black-faced Impala are restricted to Namibia and southern Angola and the Damara dik-dik; the Parks smallest antelope is also endemic.
